Discord Raiding vs Mass DMing: What's the Difference?

Raiding and mass DMing are the two most common uses for bulk Discord tokens, but they're built for completely different goals and use completely different tools. Here's how to tell which one fits what you're trying to do.

What Raiding Does

Raiding coordinates many tokens acting inside a single target server at once - joining, messaging channels, reacting, or performing other in-server actions simultaneously. It's a server-focused, high-density burst of activity aimed at one place.

What Mass DMing Does

Mass DMing sends direct messages from tokens to a large list of individual target users, entirely outside of any server context. It's a user-focused, spread-out campaign aimed at reaching as many individual people as possible.

Which Tool You Need

  • Coordinating actions inside a specific server -> G4Raid
  • Reaching a large list of individual users with a message -> G4MassDM

Some campaigns use both - raiding to build initial presence in a server, then mass DMing to follow up with individual members afterward.
